The sequence that has worked for me is thisĮnsure that the Homelink button is clear by holding it until the light turns SOLID RED The instructions in the owners manual are not correct either.
As I do not have Genie opener (nor would I ever buy one!) I cannot speak to if the mirrors will work with the newer Genies. If you have a newer opener with a yellow wire, this is the newer 330 mhz rolling code (SecuriCode or something like that is what will be on your remote) and requires you to order a repeater kit from Chamberlain.Īs far as I know, the mirror should work with older Genie intellicode openers. What this means is that the mirrors only work with garage door openers that have purple or green antenna wires. The homelink mirrors that Hyundai/Kia use transmit the old 315 mhz rolling code signal. The theories on this are many but the truth is rather simple.įor Chamberlain/Craftsman/Do It Best openers **To train additional HomeLink buttons, begin with step two. If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light, proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released. What finally worked was going to the Homelink website and downloading the specific instructions for Hyundai Sonata and LIftmaster. Finally tried the instructions from the manuals for out three other cars but nothing seemed to work. Then tried the instructions from the Liftmaster owners manual again with no luck. I was having no luck at all programming my Homelink mirror to my Liftmaster garage door opener.
